Beare’s extensive contacts throughout the musical world, combined with unparalleled appraisal experience, give our auctions unique traction in the rapidly evolving global marketplace.

Sellers will also benefit from the support of the long-standing tradition of the J & A Beare workshop, which, subject to availability, will be on hand to adjust and prepare instruments quickly to the best possible standard.

The 0% commission for sellers means that more of the final price stays with the seller.

Please contact us with good quality, detailed photographs if you are interested in obtaining a valuation or consigning an instrument or bow to our auction. Please see our Consignment Guidelines for further details. Some instruments may be more suited to private sale through J & A Beare Ltd, and we shall be pleased to advise clients on this.

FOR SELLERS

With Beares Auctions there are no consignment deadlines – you can send details of instruments or bows you would like to consign at any time you wish throughout the year. Once your instrument or bow has been examined and confirmed by the experts at J & A Beare, we will contact you to agree on a reserve price and sale period, sign a consignment agreement or perhaps offer you the option of a private sale. Some of our auction items can also be offered as a ‘Buy Now’ option for one week before the bidding phase. If your item does not sell, we offer the flexibility of re-listing items or alternatively they can be returned at your convenience.
